With our API solution, Veterans can now easily share their Health Data with technology partners and health care providers – enabling Veterans to access, manage, and interact with their health care information across mobile platforms and empowering developers to build innovative, Veteran-centered solutions.

Our team supported VA throughout the product lifecycle, from planning to strategy and launch. Our product management and Agile sprint scrum teams worked cross functionally to build and test highly scalable features while integrating automated testing tools and minimizing maintenance burdens.

These FHIR-compliant, RESTful APIs were gradually expanded, including supporting the implementation of the MISSION Act, through continuous collaboration, user testing and a comprehensive communications campaign.

VertX utilized an integrated Agile DevOps approach for design, development, and testing, which allowed our team the flexibility to adapt to VA’s evolving business needs while maintaining quality assurance. We shifted resources and skill sets to meet the project’s fluctuating backlog. Our approach to product management emphasized user acceptance testing and communications, which were used to iteratively improve the Health API, product delivery, and user support. This ultimately resulted in highly positive feedback among Veterans and a very strong adoption rate.
